Hand and Talon has been officially released.

I’m so excited! The cover is fabulous and the reviews are all thumbs up. I was a little torn on where to place this one. It’s a little bit of a traditional fantasy adventure and a little bit of a coming of age story. Should it be a new adult novel? Placed in general fantasy? I don’t know. I figure I will let the computer algorithms sort it out.

And, to be honest, I didn’t mean to launch this one just yet. I sort of snuck it out there on Amazon, ninja like, so I could do some prep work in the background. Well, somehow folks found it and sales just took off. I’m not complaining, believe me. It was a bit of a surprise, though.

So, if you haven’t picked it up already, what are you waiting for? You won’t be disappointed.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I can’t wait for the next one but I will have to. Unlike many others that I have read recently it was well written. The characters developed well. I didn’t see any spelling or grammatical errors. It was descriptive without being long-winded. I look forward to getting to know the characters better. Thank you!

Thanks so much, Angela. I’m happy you enjoyed it. And thanks for taking the time to let me know. Fingers crossed, book two will be out next summer. In the mean time, check out Shield of Drani, my scifi novel.

Wow! I have been reading fantasy novels since I was 5 (now nearing 50) and even though there were a few rough spots and grammatical/mechanical errors, this is one of the best I have EVER read! And as a delightful bonus, I can give this book to my two daughters (12 & 17) not only for the interesting and well developed characters (with truly different personalities and feels), but also without all the gratuitous sexual activity.

I am purchasing a hard copy of the novel (I have the Kindle edition now) and will place it on my bookshelf reserved for those books I reread and savor. I am looking forward to next summer’s release of the second book in the Kyrni series.
